Belief in the “EVIL EYE” dates back to the ancient times of the Egyptians and Sumerians. The belief is that even well intentioned compliments include a dose of envy (the“Evil Eye”). The “EYE” symbol (the black dot within the larger white dot) offers protection by reflecting the evil intent away from the wearer.
